A complete livestock platform arrives with a defined weighing surface and may reduce fabrication work. The better choice depends on the equipment already in place, the structure being weighed, installation skill, portability, and the need for animal-control features.

Measure the supported structure first

Bar length, spacing, mounting points, load distribution, and total loaded weight must work together. Capacity should include the chute, platform, cage, or fixture as well as the animal or material. Do not assume that a bar set fits a particular chute or deck from capacity alone.
