The filtering feature compensates for typical baby movement and the Lock key holds weight, so the nurse can attend to the baby first and then record the weight. The 8435 is powered by 6 AA batteries (not included) or optional AC adapter and it is EMR/EHR ready via its RS232 serial port. The 8435’s capacity is 130 lb x 0.1 lb / 59 kg x 0.05 kg with OneWeigh units locking, so you can select lb or kg upon initialization and lock in the units to your preference and prevent dosing errors.
